What our past participants say about their Transnational Partnerships School experience….
Zoë Marlow
Associate Director, Transnational Education, University of Southampton
I was delighted to be selected as a participant in the November 2023 Transnational Partnerships School. It was an invaluable and immersive opportunity to focus on Southeast Asia, which is a mature market for Transnational Education and a very dynamic region.
Across the delegates there was a diverse range of experience which brought a refreshing variety of perspectives in response to all we heard from the speakers and saw on our site visits.
I think I speak for the group when I say how much we appreciated the insights offered by senior university leaders, who gave their time to our endless questions incredibly generously.
Caitriona Conway
Interim Director, UC Global, University of Limerick
One of the highlights of my experience was working on a transnational education group tasks and presentations with a cross section of colleagues across many universities. I had the opportunity to share ideas, learn from experts, engage in hands-on activities with peers working in Higher Education. I eagerly shared insights and expertise with fellow attendees, fostering meaningful dialogue and there was a high level of collaboration among participants.
I was particularly impressed by the diverse range of perspectives represented on the programme and the opportunity to connect with colleagues from around the globe. These interactions not only expanded my professional network but also enriched my understanding of the cultural nuances and regional challenges associated with transnational education.
The programme has undoubtedly enhanced my knowledge, skills, and passion for TNE. I returned with a renewed sense of purpose and a wealth of new ideas that I was eager to implement at University of Limerick.
I encourage others to participate in future HUMANE Higher Education professional development programmes; I would like to thank HUMANE and Nadine Burquel in particular, for organising such a great programme!
