Kata Apati-Toth

Chief Communications Officer, Corvinus University of Budapest (HU)

Kata Apáti-Tóth s the Chief Communication Officer at Corvinus University of Budapest, where she oversees the university’s strategic communications initiatives, including media relations, internal communications, and brand management. Her expertise lies in corporate and public communications and crisis management.

Before joining Corvinus University, Kata served as Head of Communications at MOL Hungary, leading external and internal communication strategies for one of Hungary’s largest companies. Earlier in her career, she was the head of corporate communications at Hungarian Post, where she successfully managed media relations and corporate branding initiatives.

Kata began her career in media, spending over a decade there, where she gained valuable experience in public relations and media dynamics. She brings a unique blend of public-facing and corporate communication skills, which have significantly contributed to her leadership roles in Hungary’s top organisations.

Bruno Hensler

Director of Administration, University of St Gallen, CH

Dr. Bruno Hensler is since 2017 the Executive Director of Administration and Member of the President’s Board at the University of St. Gallen. During his professional career his focus has been on the general management of international universities and Higher Education as well as on resources allocation and corporate steering systems. He has significant experience in strategic [digital] business transformation models and impact evaluation. His expertise also includes service, marketing and communication management in the area of education & tourism.

Before becoming Head of Administration, Dr. Bruno Hensler was for six years Principal / Headmaster at the International Boarding School Kloster Disentis (GKD) in Switzerland. From 2013 to 2016 he was assistant lecturer at the University of St.Gallen in Contextual Studies for the Bachelor and Master Level. Prior to joining the University of St Gallen he was from 2007 to 2020 a guest lecturer for Finance & Marketing in Tourism at the University of Pisa in Italy.

He previously worked as Head of Corporate Development and Teaching Innovation at KS Kaderschulen in St Gallen and as Head of the Boarding Section at the International Hochalpinen Institut Ftan in Switzerland. He also did research and consulting work in Agriculture and worked as a Full Time Primary School Teacher.

He holds a PhD from the University of St Gallen.

Zsolt Valastyan

Head of Marketing Communications, Corvinus University of Budapest (HU)

Zsolt Valastyán is the Head of Marketing Communications at Corvinus University of Budapest, where he focuses on streamlining marketing communications and campaign management, student recruitment, digital content creation, and digital development. He leads the university’s efforts to enhance its visibility and engagement through strategic initiatives and innovative approaches to communication.

Before joining Corvinus University, Zsolt was working for MOL Group, a Hungary-based oil company, managing digital platforms, internal communications, and ATL activities, where he contributed to several high-impact campaigns. Earlier in his career, he gained experience on the agency side of marketing and communication.

Zsolt holds a degree in economics with a specialisation in marketing, which has underpinned his career in strategic and innovative communication roles.

Margit Nothnagl

Administrative Director, Max IV Laboratory, Lund University, SE

Dr. Margit Nothnagl is, since the end of August 2023, Administrative Director at Max IV Laboratory, Lund University. In this position she is part of the management team of the largest, state-financed research infrastructure in Sweden, the national synchrotron laboratory. The MAX IV facility welcomes around 1000 users every year, and the beamlines are open to academia, research institutes, industry, and government agencies worldwide.

Previously she was a Faculty Director at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) since 2011. Before that, she worked for four years as a coordination director of studies at SLU.

Margit is an alumn from the HUMANE Winter School 2013 and since March 2022 she is the chair of the HUMANE Residential School Alumni Network.

Péter Fehér

Vice President for International Relations, Corvinus University of Budapest, HU

Dr. Péter Fehér is the Head of International Relations at Corvinus University of Budapest, where he oversees the university’s participation in international networks and academic collaborations. His expertise lies in fostering global partnerships and advancing the university’s international profile.

Before assuming his current role, Dr. Fehér served as Dean of Executive and Postgraduate Programs and Vice Dean of the Business School, responsible for master’s, executive, and postgraduate studies. Previously, he served as Head of the Department of Computer Science and later as Director of the Institute of Information Technology, where he established the Corvinus FinTech Center to bridge business education and cutting-edge digital technologies.

Dr. Fehér’s research focuses on digital transformation, fintech, and IT governance. Before taking on leadership roles at the university, he gained valuable experience as a business-IT consultant, working primarily in the financial and telecommunications sectors.
